Ferritic and martensitic steel

Ferritic and martensitic steel

Chromium is the main alloying element of stainless steels with ferritic or martensitic structure. For this reason, they are also called chromium steels. Ferrites show a rather low carbon content, what differentiates them from the martensites which have a higher carbon content.

Please find below an overview of the ferritic and martensitic steels available at TPS.
